LETTER 1 (SHORT AND SWEET TO GET READ RIGHT AWAY)

Dear

I am a concerned Canadian citizen and am writing you about the motion to end COVID-19 mandates and restrictions, to be voted on in the House of Commons tomorrow, February 14 2022.

I am calling on you to vote to end COVID-19 mandates and restrictions. Here is why:

  1. The mandates and restrictions are unconstitutional
  2. Canada is under threat of increasing tyranny
  3. The mandates are not based on science

I will be following up with a further letter outlining the details of each of these three points.

I urge you as an MP, as a Canadian, and simply as a human being to support the motion to end the mandates on February 14 and to do everything in your power to encourage other MPs to do the same.

It is your responsibility as an elected MP to do what is responsible. It takes integrity and courage to do what you know is right and I have faith in you that you will do so.

Our country, our democracy, and our freedom as Canadians rests on this. You owe it to all Canadians vote on the right side of history. You owe it to yourself, to your family and and to future generations.

Yours Sincerely,

LETTER 2 (LONGER WITH MORE INFO TO ABSORB)

Dear

I am a concerned Canadian citizen and am writing you about the motion to end COVID-19 mandates and restrictions, to be voted on in the House of Commons tomorrow, February 14 2022.

I am calling on you to vote to end COVID-19 mandates and restrictions.

Here is why:

1) The mandates and restrictions are unconstitutional.

The Charter of Rights and Freedoms are enshrined in our Constitution. They provide all Canadian citizens with the right to freedom of expression, freedom of conscience, freedom of religion, freedom of assembly and freedom of association. This is in Section 2 of the Charter. Furthermore Section 7 sanctions the right to life, liberty and security of the person. Security of the person means that no one can infringe on one's bodily integrity, to force something on one's own person unwillingly. Section 15 guarantees each Canadian equal protection under the law; this means that medical discrimination is illegal.

You may be under the impression that waiving these rights is justified based on the situation with Covid-19. However, according to Section 1 of the Charter, the only means by which the government can override these rights and freedoms, comes with four strict provisions. These are:

I watched Brian Peckford, the only living signatory to the Charter of Rights and Freedoms speak yesterday and he clearly outlined these points.

I ask you, as a politician sitting in the House of Commons, have you seen this reasonable justification? By that I mean, have you seen the data? Have you seen studies showing that lockdowns work? Have you seen studies showing masks work? Have you seen studies showing SARS-CoV-2 vaccinations work?

Indeed, you might have noticed that they have not been working and that they are causing harm to mental and physical health, livelihood, the economy and so much more. There are too many personal and societal tragedies over the past 2 years to name.

Where is your justification? To what extent are these mandates in law? Where are the reasonable limits? Finally, what is happening to our free and democratic society?

I urge you to step back, look at the big picture and honestly ask yourself these questions.

2) Threat of increasing tyranny

When the constitution is overridden as it has been, and if this is allowed to continue, our country will continue to head down a slippery slope. A democracy requires accountability. So far the government has been acting without accountability.

It is up to you, an elected MP of Canada, to hold the government to account.

The reason we are experiencing the Trucker's Freedom Convoy 2022 is, frankly, because you have not been doing your job.

3) The mandates are not based on science.

Here you may believe you are on solid ground because the media and our current sitting government keep repeating it over and over like a slogan.

However if you were to look at the actual studies and data, you would find:

I urge you as an MP, as a Canadian, and simply as a human being to support the motion to end the mandates on February 14. I urge you to do everything in your power to encourage other MPs to do the same.

It is your responsibility as a sitting MP to do what is responsible.
